(More customer reviews)I purchased the Logitech USB headset H530 to use with Ubuntu 10.10. I have read some reviews about USB head sets saying they worked, but usually the controls on the headset or cable did not work. The H530 works perfectly. Initially, the volume control did not work. After selecting "ClearChat Pro USB Analog Stereo in the "Output" tab of the sound preferences, the volume control on the headphone and on the computer worked. To use the mic, select "ClearChat Pro USB Analog Mono" on the "Input" tab of the Sound Preferences dialog. The mic mute on the headset works.
The sound from the H530 is excellent, and the mic sound is very clear and noise free. This is my first USB headset and the mic background noise is extremely low compared with the analog version (using the computer's internal sound chips) it is replacing.
